Nu heeft een siliconen prothese wel een aantal voordelen ten opzichte van een orthopedische schoen. Er is geen wrijving tussen de stomp en de prothese, waardoor de kans op wondjes zeer klein is.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Door de perfecte pasvorm van de prothese staat u zelfs stabiel zonder schoenen aan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Met een prothese kunt u normale confectieschoenen dragen. Dit is mogelijk doordat het ondersteunende voetbed in de prothese is verwerkt. In de zomer kunt u zelfs sandalen dragen. Dit is natuurlijk veel prettiger als het warm is. Doordat de kleur van uw siliconen prothese zoveel mogelijk aansluit bij uw eigen huidskleur, zal het andere mensen ook niet direct opvallen dat u een hulpmiddel heeft.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Siliconen voetprothesen kunnen relatief licht worden gemaakt, gemiddeld zo\u2019n 600 gram voor een voetprothese.
